Corrections
Corrections Policy
If a listing, article or contact detail is wrong, we want to fix it quickly and accurately.Accurate information is essential for parents and athletes who use OneSpotAcademy to discover sports coaching options. Addresses, phone numbers, sport categories, images and other details can change. When something is incorrect, incomplete or outdated, we encourage users and academy owners to report it so we can review and update the public record.
How to Request a Correction
Send an email to contact@onespotacademy.com with the following details:
- The full URL of the page that needs correction
- The academy name, guide title or blog title
- A clear description of what is currently wrong
- The correct information you believe should replace it
- Any supporting details that help us verify the change (for example, a new phone number that is publicly listed, a Google Maps link, or a website update)
The more specific the request, the faster we can review it. Vague messages such as “this listing is wrong” without details slow down the process.
What We Review
We accept correction requests for factual information that appears on public listings and related pages, including:
- Academy name and branding
- City, locality and full address
- Phone numbers and email addresses
- Website, social media or Google Maps links
- Primary sports and coaching categories
- Age-group or training-level notes where shown
- Images that are outdated, incorrect or low quality
- Fees information, trial notes or programme descriptions when the academy has shared them
- Guide or blog titles, author/update details, factual statements, FAQs, citations, equipment guidance, training notes and comparison tables
- Other factual details that affect discovery or contact
We do not normally change subjective opinions, ranking language or promotional claims that are not factual. If a listing contains language that appears misleading, we may edit or remove it as part of our review process.
Guide and Blog Corrections
For guides and blogs we review factual mistakes, outdated sports information, broken source links, inaccurate product or equipment guidance, missing image credits where applicable, and content that no longer matches our editorial standards. We may update the article, add a correction note, replace unsupported claims, or remove content that cannot be verified.
Academy Claims and Ownership
Academy owners or authorised representatives can request changes to their own listing. To process ownership-related updates we may ask for enough information to identify the academy and confirm that the request is legitimate. This can include matching contact details already on the listing, a public website, or other reasonable verification steps. We do this to prevent unauthorised changes to public profiles.
How We Handle Requests
After receiving a correction request we review the information against available sources and the existing listing. Simple factual fixes (such as an updated phone number or address) are often processed quickly. More complex changes may take longer if we need additional confirmation.
We may:
- Update the public listing with the corrected details
- Request more information before making a change
- Decline a change if we cannot verify it or if it conflicts with our editorial standards
- Remove or temporarily hide a listing if the information appears seriously inaccurate or incomplete
What We Do Not Guarantee
OneSpotAcademy does not guarantee that every correction will be applied immediately or that every submitted detail will be accepted without review. We also cannot guarantee that third-party information (for example, an academy’s own website or social media) is always current. Our responsibility is to review reported issues carefully and keep public listings as accurate as reasonably possible.
After a Correction Is Made
Once a change is published, the updated information becomes visible on the relevant academy profile or page. If you submitted the request, you may receive a short confirmation when the update is complete. If further changes are needed, you can send another email with the new details.
Contact
For all correction requests, email contact@onespotacademy.com. Include the page URL, academy name, incorrect information and the correct details so we can act efficiently.
